David is a highly experienced corporate finance professional. Before founding Chantry, he spent over fifteen years working for major international investment banks in the City of London. He spent a large part of his earlier career at HSBC Investment Bank (joining its forerunner, Samuel Montagu, in 1987) where he was a Managing Director and Head of IT/Support Services sector coverage, as well as having managerial responsibility for an M&A transaction execution group. Following HSBC, he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup, where he was Head of Capital Goods coverage.
